Self-induced Spam!

A funny thing happened in our office yesterday!...

One guy from support staff sent an email copying to the entire organization (by mistake), Soon, we started receiving reply ALL mails from engineers saying "This mail is not intended to me" or "I am not the intended recipient of this mail" or "blah blah blah"...later, some folks started replying ALL with "Please do not reply all and spam the mail boxes" (look who's talking! :))...After sometime, some folks starting doing a message RECALL which resulted in more spam mails!

Overall, for one wrong mail message, the whole organization ended up received 100s of spam!

Moral of the Story: You don't need an external hacker to induce spam traffic in your intranet, look within!

Wanna try it out in your company?! :)

Hahaha! That's happened where I worked too! It just made me laugh at humanity and how self-centred we can get.
